The Perspective Behind the Practice
Welcome to Four Rooms Wellness; I’m Danielle, a registered social worker, post-secondary instructor, and psychotherapist with more than 25 years of clinical experience supporting adolescents and adults through social, emotional, and behavioural challenges. Four Rooms Wellness is a practice I envisioned and created, grounded in the Four Rooms framework, which recognizes the deep interconnection between mind and body and honours physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual wellbeing as essential to balance.
My work includes supporting those navigating stress, anxiety, burnout and life transitions across academic, personal, relational, and professional contexts.
In my many years of experience guiding people through a range of concerns, (including life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, stress, and periods of uncertainty) I have prioritized and remain committed to being a compassionate and grounded mental health care provider who respects each person’s lived experience.
work with Danielle for…
Therapy
Danielle works with people across Ontario providing in-person and walk-and-talk therapy sessions in Burlington, ON, or virtual sessions province-wide, creating options that feel accessible, comfortable, and aligned with each individual.
All of her work is person centered & trauma‑informed and tailored to goals determined together. She draws from evidence‑based approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. Therapy may also integrate nervous‑system awareness through mindfulness and polyvagal‑informed practices. These approaches blend neuroscience with talk therapy to support nervous system regulation and foster a sense of safety, balance, and connection.
Facilitation & Speaking
As a trained educator and experienced speaker, Danielle makes meaningful conversations about mental health feel accessible and empowering for workplaces, teams, non-profit organizations, schools, community events, and professional conferences.
Known for her warm presence, humour, and ability to create psychologically safe learning environments, Danielle helps groups and audiences explore big topics through conversation, storytelling, and interaction. With a background in supporting adults and emerging adults through major life transitions, Danielle specializes in translating complex topics into practical tools with a focus on wellbeing that people can actually use in their daily lives.
SHSM Certifications
Ontario high school students can work with Danielle to complete certifications within the Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) program, supporting their learning in the Health and Wellness, Justice, Community Safety and Emergency Services, and the Non-Profit, Education and Child Care sectors.
Danielle draws from her background in both frontline work and education to bring these sectors to life in ways that feel relevant and engaging while helping students connect what they’re learning to real-world contexts and future possibilities.
